I know an organisation that uses Quantum for all their international mail – except the Express stuff, which goes to Aus Post, because Quantum "hubs" in Malaysia (I think) and all that does is delay the delivery.
I understand your concern, but five days in the air from Russia to Australia is not abnormal.
Hi guys, I bought an item from Russia last week, and it has been shipped on via EMS (International Express). I do know Russia is BIG country and takes time to get it, but the CURRENT PROBLEM is that my item is stuck in Sydney somewhere without scanning.
So I did not have any choice as he offered me most cheap price (include EMS shipping costs).
I was also very much concerned with my item because of no tracking updates, but my parcel arrived in Australia from China in four days — check thisthread.
Now think how much further away Russia is from Australia than China!
but five days in the air from Russia to Australia is not abnormal. But I think Russia is really far far away from Australia.. I already called to Australian Post 2 times, on Wednesday and Friday, They confirmed that my parcel had left Russia already (both on Wednesday and Friday).
I was also very much concerned with my item because of no tracking updates, but my parcel arrived in Australia from China in four days Wow, only 4 days from China to Australia? So, in your experience, 5days in the air from Russia to Australia is normal.. So I will take more time and will inform to my other business people to wait more.. I don't really understand why you keep say delusion, but I think you might have some delusion of something.
There are no guarantees that your package will be found at this late date, but you need to start a claim if you had insurance on it. Keep the claim number customer service gives you and use it every time you contact them.
I also have EMS woe to report, but I will start a new thread for that. only to phone up Australia post to see it's awaiting at post office, despite me getting no card. Cheers, not normal, because its supposed to be informative... and while i told Australia post this spsecifally, they don't do anything to improve it... i've had no tracking updates all the time when Apple send stuff via Australia post... It might, or might not, be scanned again sometime during that process.
But my Item is in Sydney for sure as item has been sent from Moscow but Aus post did not scanned (Or border/customs did not scanned).. I would say don't trust it fully, which is probably why they give u phone support in case u need further help hahaa..ya, like no kidding. only to phone up Australia post to see it's awaiting at post office, despite me getting no card. Probably not scanned, because once approved by the government, is probably locked in some kind of secured container with other approved items. But I don't think that there are any flights from there, either.
I am a Russian speaker and I just checked that the time frame for EMS delivery to Australia is 5-8 days to Canberra or Sydney, so that's excluding the time taken within Australia to reach your address. I searched on google translate, and it said exported... Also I called Australian post call centre this morning, and they said my parcel has been departed from Russia on 25th. By your own previous posts, you go no information about the 4 days it took to get from your sender to Moscow. They check outgoing mail for security, or contraband, or historic relics maybe, I don't know. Then it has to go back to courier company, then to airport, then to be loaded into plane.
From my experience of ordering from Russia, once it's left Moscow, it just means it's on route to Australia and you may get no further tracking updates until it's delivered. i've had no tracking updates all the time when Apple send stuff via Australia post... Also, normally when you get your items from Russia, you also received very late like me?? They got it early in the morning, spend 2 minutes actually checking it, send it back to loading dock, send it out of building the same evening. That all takes time, whether it is three hours or three days, because of weekend.
